Hard to believe a week's gone by already, And it has been a crazy one on my end. Is it just me or do the weeks seems to get shorter and shorter?
Jeanne McDonald set the topic this week, and this is what she wants us to talk about.
If you missed Steven Mitchell, you missed something good, but never fear! You can just leap back and see what he had to say.
Well, I am one of those fortunate enough that writing is my day job. I get to spend my working hours doing what I love.
Outside of that I'm a wife and mother to two teen girls, two golden retrievers and a rescue cat. Also, if you've read my bio, you'll know we move around a fair amount. I have packed and unpacked my family 13 times at last count. We just made this move to Colorado at the beginning of June.
I guess you could call me a professional relocator. The job came with my marriage to an engineer, who moved around after projects. Of course, the correct term for what I am is a trailing spouse, but that one gets right up my nose. The logistics of moving, I have down to a well-oiled machine. The emotional toll? Well. that's a different story.
Real life creeps into my books, whether I planned it that way or not. I find myself building characters with histories I know. A lot of my characters live migratory kinds of lives.
That's my answer to Jeanne's question, but it doesn't have to end there. Stay on the magic bus until the next stop and visit with LOVextra's Tracey Gee. It's a trip well worth taking.
